Floods in Chiang Mai & Phitsanuloke Province
Temporary mini-medical clinics were set up after the September 2005 floods in Chiang Mai. Emergency relief packs, food, water and medicine were distributed to flood victims during the Phitsanuloke & Chiang Mai floods There were 19,702 beneficiaries of food packs and 522 medical beneficiaries during the Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai floods from August to October, 2005.
Floods in Uttaradit Province
In May 2006, more than 120,000 people were affected by the floods in Northern Thailand and hundreds of homes were destroyed with many people losing their lives.
In partnership with local churches, Operation Blessing responded by distributing aid to five different flood-stricken villages in the Uttaradit Province in the form of:
- 3433 meals
- 1031 relief packs of essential household items
- 1200 water bottles
OB also helped set up a temporary relief center in Baan Paa Dung village where all of the 116 houses were either totally destroyed of damaged.
